Mammoet – 300 [Te] Chain puller

Chain pullers (or chain pulling device) are used by Mammoet Salvage for wreck removal jobs all over the world. Mainly a chain puller is equipped with hydraulic cylinders a support structure and a device to lock the chain. Several manufacturers sell chain pulling devices. Within Mammoet a lot of experiences are present and pro/cons of these devices are well known.
The original design of a chain puller is built with existing hydraulic cylinders. Mammoet decided to build a new chain puller to provide a more effective tailor made puller compared to the current existing chain pullers.
